  • Family’s heartfelt donation gives parents the gift of time to say final goodbyes 04 June 2026 Born on his due date in 2019, Jackson Cole Bantick is the third son for Amy and her husband Josh. Devastatingly, Jackson was born sleeping. “It was a perfect pregnancy, much like that of my previous two sons but on the day Jackson was due I didn’t feel right. I went into labour and when I got to the hospital, I was told there was no heart beat,” Mum Amy Bantick said. “They discovered later that I had a staph infection which unfortunately had been passed through to Jackson. “We were at Fiona Stanley Hospital and they had a Cuddle Cot so we were able to spend three days with him by our side in our room.” A Cuddle Cot is a specialised cooling system that lies beneath the baby in a custom designed bassinet and allows parents to spend precious moments with their child before saying their final goodbyes.
