Waikiki RkPG Peninsula Ward is up and running 11 August 2026 Located in the Waikiki Private Hospital, and only a five-minute drive from Rockingham General Hospital, the Peninsula Ward is an important element of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Winter Strategy. Having been open since June 2, the 20 extra beds work to reduce pressure on the State’s health system over the busy winter season. The ward supports patients who are medically cleared for discharge, helping co-locate this patient group and making beds available at Rockingham General Hospital for patients who require acute care.
