Maternity appointments and specialist obstetrician referrals

Comprehensive health services for women with low to moderate complexity pregnancies

Maternity appointments and specialist obstetrician referrals

Our Maternal and Neonatal Service provides a comprehensive range of health services to women with low to moderate complexity pregnancies.

Public patients can choose to access maternity services at Rockingham General Hospital as a public patient through shared care arrangements with community GPs, GP obstetricians and midwives.

Referring maternity and specialist obstetrician patients

It is preferred that maternity and specialist obstetrician appointment requests are lodged at 14 weeks of pregnancy.

Information regarding which patients require referral to a specialist obstetrician can be found in the Antenatal shared care guidelines: information for general practice obstetricians, general practitioners and endorsed midwives (PDF 1.1MB)

Printable referral forms

Send completed request forms to our Central Receipting Office (CRO) either by:

  • email RKPG Central Receipting
  • fax 9599 4659.

The CRO can be contacted on 9599 4750 if required.
