Peel Health Campus Transformation

Providing people living in the Peel-Murray region with a range of local health care options

Peel Health Campus Transformation

In late 2020 the WA Government announced that full operation of the Peel Health Campus (PHC) would transfer to South Metropolitan Health Service from August 2023 on the completion of the current contract with existing private operator Ramsay Health Care.

This is an important step in providing people living in the Peel-Murray region with a range of local healthcare options.

The Peel Health Campus Transformation (PHCT) Program comprises multiple projects linked to the transfer of operations; and expansion and redevelopment of the Peel Health Campus (PHC) site. A business case to support decisions around the PHC redevelopment will be made to Ministers by the end of 2022.

Options to co-locate a new private hospital on the same site, with the potential to share services between the public and private hospitals, will also be explored. WA Health has commenced the process to select a private healthcare provider and, following the completion of market engagement, will issue a formal tender document.
