Short Stay Unit

This is a specialist unit located next to the Emergency Department.

The unit is designed to provide short-term (less than 24-hours) assessment, therapy or observations for patients requiring specialised treatment, without the need for ongoing admission.

The Short Stay Unit (SSU) provides these patients with a full range of specialist medical, nursing and allied health services.
