Community members invited to help shape local health services
Rockingham Peel Group (RKPG) is calling for expressions of interest from local community members to join its Consumer Advisory Council (CAC), which plays a vital role in shaping the hospital experience for patients, families and carers.
The CAC meets monthly at Rockingham General Hospital and includes consumer and carer representatives who provide feedback and advice to help improve health services across the region.
“This is a meaningful opportunity for community members to have a voice in how care is delivered,” said Joanne Hughes, Manager, RKPG Education, Safety, Quality and Risk Department.
“We value diverse perspectives and are committed to working in partnership with consumers to ensure services are safe, inclusive and responsive to local needs.”
Members of the CAC contribute by reviewing patient publications, advising on service planning and development, and fostering collaboration between RKPG, local service providers and the wider community.
RKPG welcomes applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal communities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people with disability.
