Cremation regulations in Western Australia

The remains of deceased persons can only be cremated in Western Australia if a permit has been issued by a medical referee. The application process for a permit to cremate is specified by law, and requires the use of the prescribed forms.

See Cremation approval process and prescribed forms for details.

Members of the public can get information about cremation facilities and services from the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (external link).
