Archbishop of Perth Kay Goldsworthy recently paid a visit to Rockingham General Hospital to learn more about its health and chaplaincy services.

Archbishop Kay was warmly welcomed by hospital Chaplain Barbara Twells and Nursing Coordinator – Corporate Sue Harris, before meeting with Director of Nursing and Midwifery Susan Moore.

Barbara and Sue then took the Archbishop on a tour of the hospital, including the Emergency Department, Medical Assessment Unit and Aged Care Rehabilitation Unit.

Archbishop Kay met with a patient who was very appreciative of her prayers for recovery.

The visit concluded with an afternoon tea provided by the Ladies Auxiliary.

Archbishop Kay said it was wonderful to meet and spend time with so many people at Rockingham General Hospital.

“There is such a deep sense of the caring community across the hospital. Thank you for your welcome,” she said.

This year also marks Chaplain Barbara’s 21st year of service to Rockingham General Hospital. Read more about Chaplain Barbara's contribution.
