Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program

The Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG) is uniquely positioned as an evolving and expanding health care provider in the fastest growing health service in WA – the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS).

We can offer you a positive and rewarding start to your professional career as well as the chance to be part of our friendly and dynamic nursing team.

Our Graduate Program is a 12-month fixed term contract with two clinical rotations of six months each. We have two Registered Nurse intakes per year (February and August), one Registered Midwifery intake (February) and one Enrolled Nurse intake (August).

Our staff are committed to providing a supportive environment where you will be assisted to develop clinical competence and safe practice.

All enrolled and registered nurse and midwifery graduates are required to apply for positions online at GradConnect (external site).

Careers in Medicine

Our medical staff work across inpatient and community services and we have positions for junior and senior medical practitioners including:

  • interns
  • resident medical officers
  • registrars
  • consultants.

Credentialling

Visiting Medical Practitioners (specialist and general practitioners) must be credentialled to Rockingham General and Murray District Hospitals to offer specialist services.

Eligibility

All doctors must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) (external site).

You need to make sure you are eligible for registration through one of three pathways:

  • standard
  • competent authority
  • specialist.
